VMware Aria Automation Orchestrator is the component used to simplify and automate complex business processes for consumption through the self-service catalog and tocreate workflow-based extensibility for interaction with third-party tools and applications. It provides a platform for designing and running workflows that automate tasks across VMware and external systems.

Aria Automation can notify users via email for various events, including when a "Deployment Request Completed" indicating a successful deployment, and "Deployment Lease Expired" indicating that the lease duration for a deployment has ended. These notifications help users stay informed about the status of their deployment requests and resource usage.

VMware Aria Operations (formerly known as vRealize Operations) helps administrators understand the monetary impact of deployments and manage costs within VMware Aria Automation. It provides comprehensive monitoring, analytics, and cost management capabilities, enabling organizations to optimize resource usage, reduce costs, and ensure efficient operation of their VMware environments.

When multiple resources in a provisioning request meet conflicting hard constraints, soft constraints are used as a tiebreaker to resolve the conflict. This allows the system to make a decision based on less strict preferences when hard constraints cannot be satisfied by a single resource.

When creating a subscription in VMware Aria Automation Assembler, the two types of runnable items available for executing code are VMware Aria Automation Orchestrator Workflows and ABX Actions. With the lease policy settings provided, the deployment will initially have a maximum lease of 10 days. If the user does not respond to any emails, the grace period of 5 days will come into effect after the lease expires, extending the total to 15 days. Since the maximum total lease is 30 days and considering the initial 10-day lease plus the 5-day grace period, if the user still does not respond, the deployment will be destroyed after the total of 35 days (30 days of total lease plus the 5-day grace period).

For the VMware Aria Automation onboarding plan to run successfully, it is essential to have a project set up with access to the necessary cloud zones, and the relevant cloud accounts must be added with defined cloud zones for the compute resources. These prerequisites ensure that the onboarding process has the necessary context and permissions to allocate resources and manage machines within the specified environment.

In VMware Aria Automation, administrators can use natural language to define target deployment sizes for specific cloud accounts within the Flavor Mappings configuration. Flavor Mappings allow administrators to abstractly define compute resource sizes (such as CPU, memory) that are then mapped to specific cloud infrastructure, enabling user-friendly definitions of deployment sizes.

For the App-Dev team's requirement for an on-demand network that can be connected externally, the administrator should consider using "Routed" and "Public" network types in the VMware Aria Automation template. Routed networks provide connectivity between different network segments with managed IP addressing, while Public networks offer access to external networks, meeting the need for external connectivity.
